I am an Art Director and Editorial Designer living in Charleston, South Carolina.
As the Art Director of The Local Palate magazine, I was the creative director, lead designer, producer, photo editor, photographer, and sometimes recipe contributor, on a magazine staff of a handful of colleagues. My designs and photography helped shape the visual identity of more than 80 magazines over nine years. I was fortunate to have collaborated with some of the industry’s best editorial photographers, writers, prop stylists, and chefs to tell the rich visual story of the culinary South.
Today, as an independent creative for hire, I combine my knowledge and experience in art direction and design to help companies deliver powerful visual communications that increase audience engagement.
My work has been recognized by the American Society of Magazine Editors. And in 2018, my feature “The Art of Food” was a finalist in Folio Magazine’s Ozzie Awards.
In my free time you can find me taking in the beach on a run, or paddle boarding in the Lowcountry creeks with my rescue dog Biscuit.
